Taylored Expressions April Sneaks - Day 2

Good morning! I'm so glad you're joining us for our second day of sneak peeks! If you happened to miss the peeks from yesterday just scroll down a bit to check 'em out. And don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win one of three gift certificates! This month we're releasing stamps that will help you create lasting memories for mom and graduate and I have two more ideas to share with you today around those two themes. And just a reminder, all of our new products will be available for purchase on Thursday, April 5th at 8am PST at the TE Store!

I'll start with the Mother's Day card I made using the newest house image in the Adorable Abode series concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated by Doug Applegate. The series of abodes started with Love Shack and continued last month with Spring Cottage and Royal Digs. And now I'm excited to introduce Rose Garden Estate! By the end of the year we'll have 12 unique abodes perfect for using on calendar projects or throughout the year for seasonal cards and gifts. I used another one of the new Shadowbox Card Kits for this card. Each card kit includes all of the pieces you'll need to create a beautiful shadowbox! Everything is already pre-cut and scored so all you need to do is stamp your scene and adhere the pieces together. The shadowboxes could even be filled with pictures of your children and set out to adorn a mantel or shelf... the possibilities are endless! I started by stamping the rose garden estate in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the house with Copics and paper pieced the roof and door with a wood grain patterned paper from the MME Dolled Up 6x6 Paper Pad. I added birds from the Birds & Branch die set and a cloud from the Cloud Duo dies to the scene along with one of my favorite sentiments from this stamp set, "Thanks for making home such a wonderful place to be".

My other two projects for today are for the graduate! When it comes to graduation season, a card that can be easily mass-produced is a life saver! I know the gift of choice for graduates is cold hard cash so since my gift doesn't have a personal touch, I put my personal touch into the card. My first card uses the new Grad A la Carte. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copics (BG45, BG49, R05, R08, YR21, YR23, YG03, YG17) to match the MME Out of the Blue patterned paper. I covered the letters with Crystal Stickles and then started on my layout. The layout design comes from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #155. I used the die from Fly Your Flag 2 to create the patterned pennants and also used the new Reach for the Stars border die. Here's a look at both of the dies I used on this card:

The 'reach for the stars' sentiment on the above card is from the new Congrats, Grad! stamp set that I used for this card. I know how many of you love our Apple Doodle penguin so this release wouldn't be complete without a penguin graduate! I used the same MME Out of the Blue 6x6 paper pad for this card and a layout from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #42. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxdeo Black ink and colored the beak and feet with Copics (YR12, YR14). I cut the image out with Spellbinders circles and then layered onto the Lacey Circle. And I couldn't resist using the Reach for the Stars border die again along the bottom of the page. I also covered it with Crystal Stickles for some extra glitz!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! That's all for my sneak peeks, but you're going to want to read all the details of our release to see how you could win one of several stamp sets we're giving away! And I KNOW the Baker's Dozen has lots of fabulous eye candy to share to!
