Summer Birthday

Hey there! We're getting ready to head out of town this weekend, but I wanted to pop in and share a card that I made last night. I'm in love with the colors in the Echo Park Sweet Day 6x6 pad and Jen's latest Deconstructed Sketch #57:

I paired the patterned papers with the Love Grows Here stamp set and a sentiment from Branching Out. The image is colored with Copics. I cut the base of the long panel with Spellbinders Labels 9 and then used the small scallop border die as an accent. Then I had a little scrap of fabric laying around from an outfit that my mom and I sewed for Madelyn (more on that later!) so I decided to create my own little fabric embellishment:

I ripped a strip of fabric and then rolled and twisted the fabric around a 1" Gluber and then added a button to the center with a foam dot. P.S. Stay tuned for a video where I'll show you how I made my rolled fabric flower and the cool zipper trim flower that my mom made (both using Glubers!).

Alrighty... we're off to visit our new niece (she's already 4 weeks old!), but still small and snuggly and I can hardly wait to cuddle her! And it's amazing how much STUFF I have to pack for a little overnight trip with our own 9-month old!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
